I was fortunate to attend the Maison et Objet design show for the trade in Paris. I came away feeling very inspired! I brought back samples, ideas, and enthusiasm. It felt wonderful to be out and about with other design lovers!

The show was huge with over 7 buildings to explore in a giant convention center out near the CDG airport.

There were so many products to see and touch- how I have missed seeing things (and people) in person! The feel of fabrics, wood, and other materials is a favorite of mine.

My new favorite design products, that I discovered at the show, are the quirky, fun, unique, ceramics by Kuehn-Keramik from Germany. The asymmetrical, organic shapes and the prints, some including a touch of gold, really spoke to me.

Look at the magnificent flea print! I have cats and am all too familiar with fleas. Although fleas are a nuisance, I find this print to be delightful!

As a designer, I love to use unique items to personalize and liven up a space. This cup would look great on a shelf with other unique items or it could stand out amongst a set of plain dishes, for example.

What do you think? Would you buy this wonderful little cup with the flea print for a conversation starter?

More delightful pieces from Kuehn-Keramik:

Look at these wall hooks!

Ooooh the arms! The detailed lines.

Fun, whimsical, witty!

Until next time, stay curious! :)
